SECONDLIFE

Hans Boodt’s display mannequins seem timeless, however they are subject to trends. This means that these employees, although being cheap, is once fired. When this happens there are some things that can be done with the display mannequin.

Hans Boodt Mannequins believes that everyone deserves a second chance, this is also true for display mannequins and window mannequins. When a new display mannequin is delivered to the client the old window mannequin can be send back in the box of the new display mannequin, at no cost. Hans Boodt Mannequins is committed to the environment in addition to reducing its CO2 emissions it does by recycling the old window mannequins.

The 2nd Life program is based on the 3R's Reduce, Re-use and Recycle. As with CO2  mentioned we do our best to reduce CO2.  This is the first R, Reduce. Re-use and recycle are discussed here.

Old display mannequins can be reused also called Re-use. Re-use is getting a second life. Also the 2nd-life Program. Hans Boodt mannequins searches a new "home" for an old display mannequin. If no new home can be found the window mannequin recycled.

Recycling is the last of the 3R's. In the recycling process we look at how a window mannequin can be handled. Because we do not always receive our own mannequins it’s difficult to determine how the display mannequin can be processed best. Although there are some guidelines that keep in mind we as much as possible.

The thermoplastic materials such as polyethylene are easily recyclable, which makes it easy to recycle as raw material. To a lesser extent, this is also the case for thermosets such as polyurethane and polyester. It is true that these products are very easy to process in the standard waste process. Fiberglass mannequins can therefore be regarded as other wastes.

To this day there is no product that has  an eternal life. 2nd Life is how Hans Boodt mannequins  contributes to this problem. When a display mannequin is replaced we ensure that the old copy can be sent to us for free. The goal is that we have the knowledge and contacts to process the old display mannequins correctly.
