ETERNAL FASHION EXHIBITION

durable replex mannequins

The first rental with our durable Replex Mannequins: the Eternal Fashion Exhibition.

The five themes of the exhibition are; Innovation, Own Time (have we lost the knowledge to take care of our garments?), In Season (with nature as inspiration), Time for Creation (what can we learn from traditional craftmanship?) and New Old (old clothes get new life).

For the exhibition, six students from the fashion design program the School of Textiles in Borås have challenged the view of the traditional design process through creative examples with a focus on social, economic and ecological sustainability.

Textile designer Linda Nurk shows organic garments made with the help of her own breeding of silkworms and cultured textiles. The exhibition shows garments from Jennifer Blok, Rodebjer and Stine Goyea that have nature as their inspiration. And a dress by the creator Stéphane Rolland – one of 16 people in the world who have the right to call their creations haute couture. Céline Dion, Rita Ora, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Björk are some of the famous personalities who carried Rolland’s designs

Not to forget the several creations by Jennifer Bloms, Rave Review, Cecile Bahnsen, Hodakova and Henrik Vibskov. Stockholm City Mission’s fashion and design brand Remake participates with one evening dress made from recycled silk fabrics. This dress was worn by former Minister of Culture and Democracy Alice Bah Kuhnke at the Nobel Banquet 2018.

Last bot nut least the exhibition shows two of Denmark’s Crown Princess’ favorite dresses that have been worn on several occasions over the years.
